Like Edmund said, for basic soldering you'll need a soldering surface (like a charcoal block), a torch, flux to keep the metal clean, tweezers &/or a soldering pick, and a pickle pot with copper tongs. If you don't already know what any of those are I wouldn't reccommend that you start...
