That ring is wicked!  It's beautiful.  It will also be great for self defense (LOL).  Seriously, it is stunning.  Is is for sale?

Hi, Laura Thank you for your warm words about my ring. Sorry it’s my personal ring, and it’s not for sale. How can I visit witches' Sabbath without this ring? (LOL) As for self defense, it’s good idea. I’ll keep it in my mind. :-)

I just visited your web site, you have many beautiful designs show there. I wish I could visit your shop in Russia, to learn some of your techniques. The way you cut, craft, and solider with such fine silver workmanship is beautiful thing.... I’m green with envy, of you skill as a silversmith. Where did you learn all those skills?

is this a link to your site?     http://j-e-w-e-l.ru/h/index_2.htm#20

Here's an even cooler link to her web site. Her name is Markcova Maria.

She's a very interesting designer to say the least. This magazine should print some of her work.

Thanks to all for good words about my work. I learned jewelry making in our loucal universety. My teacher was very talented jeweller Ovsannikoff. I feel that I steel have to learn a lot things. By the way, I got the Carles Codina's The complete book of jewelry making. It contained many usefull techniques and going to try them. Also I going to subscribe Art Jewelry mag. There is another my pendant. I made it aproximately four years ago, it was my third jewell. I hope to post some new my jewel later. To zzz_Derek_zzz - I like your avatar.

So nice to meet you Maria.

I feel like I'm talking to a future superstar of th Jewelry arts world. You have so many beautiful pieces on your web site. This one you showing here is one of the many favorites I saw on your site. I really do love your designs.

I'm not an expert by any means... although I have read a many metal arts, jewelry books, and magazines. Do go to art museums to view metal arts, and have viewed many many pieces of jewelry art. I recently had a chance to meet Jamie Bennett. A Professor of Art in the Metal Program at the State University at New Paltz , New York while viewing his exhibition "Edge of Sublime" That was his extremely beautiful, and interesting exhibition most recently shown at the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art in New York. The exhibition showed many of his Enameled art jewelry pieces, and is next scheduled to be exhibited at the Arkansas Arts Center between December 19, 2008 – February 22, 2009 I think he has over 100 truly beautiful pieces of art jewelry be displayed. Its worth seeing if you ever have the chance.

When I look at your pieces Maria... I can see that a very talented designer too. A very skilled craftswoman, and creative artist is clearly hard at work here. In your ring, and in this piece here you just posted. (You said this is only your 3rd creation... Maybe I’m miss understanding your English? ) Your ability to design, and skillfully soldering (braze) so many individual components together into such beautiful forms...and with your addition of rough stones into these creations. Its makes for such truly beautiful, and interesting pieces of art.

I copied, and emailed pictures of your work to my wife. She’s from Thailand. Over all, Thailand is a very artist society. But in particular, I would describe my wife as... a modern day woman, a very fashionable person, a woman that has a good eye for fashion, and an eye for art too. Whenever we go out together ( and all our friends agree) she is always the most beautifully, and best fashionable dressed person in the room. She’s a very unique person, because she can do this with out spending money on brand names. She’s always the best dressed person because she has a great eye for fashion, and she don’t need to have a famous designers name on the tag to know if it looks good or not. She’s just got style....

She loves your work too :-)

    Sincerely

    Derek~~^~^^ Tin man :)

The pendant is totally amazing! I love jewellery with leaves, delicate twigs and so on. It's so beautiful, elegant and fairy-like ;).
